encounter with daddy

i was biking on my way home when someone shouted and called my name. i did not pay attention for i thought i might have misheard the name called. then the voice got louder. it was daddy (our manager).

i stopped and parked my bike. he ran towards me.  told me he’s so happy to see me and a lot more things.

then he said, “rose no kao wo mitara sabishikunaru.” (seeing your face makes me sad).

i’m touched.

he told me he didn’t want me to leave japan but it’s shouganai (can’t be helped). he’s really like a daddy.  with zero hidden agenda. also he told me he might come to my wedding if time allows it.

daddy, people like you are rare. thank u so much for making me feel as if i have a father. still.
