still, it hurts

MIL (future) paid a visit to my mom.  She felt she had to talk to my mom.  It’s tradition.  It’s culture.

So they talked about what they had to talk. Although they both knew it.  They just had to talk about it, as parents.

“I knew she(me) will eventually have to leave me.  I just didn’t think it would come this soon.” Then tears came running mama’s cheeks.

why do mothers treat marriage like someone’s going to die. you are not really leaving her right?! i mean, you will still be around for her. maybe it’ll help her if she realize that she will not be losing a daughter but she will be gaining a son.

Maybe it’s because we never really grew up in the eyes of our moms that
“leaving the nest” episodes always get emotionally charged.

Wishing you all the best Rose!
